Outside Plant Technician I

V2X is seeking an Outside Plant Technician I to work in Kuwait City. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing a broad range of telecommunications cabling media including coaxial, fiber optic, and Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP). You will install support structures like cable racks and conduit, test cable signal quality, and terminate/splice copper and fiber optic cables. The position reports to the Work Center Supervisor or Site Lead under the ONDAC-SWACA program.
المسؤوليات
- Pull telecommunications cabling through buried conduit (outside plant) and building architectures
- Operate trenching equipment and heavy equipment
- Terminate Category 5 UTP, coaxial, and fiber optic cables
- Prepare telecommunications rooms and distribution nodes
- Install hardware systems such as cable trays and ladder racks
- Test and certify cabling using ohm meters and OTDR
- Splice copper and fiber optic cabling
- Troubleshoot and correct cable problems
- Maintain cable records and use Remedy database software
المؤهلات
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active Secret Clearance
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Fiber Optic repair Course preferred
