The Sales Manager is responsible for effectively soliciting and becoming familiar with all accounts in his/her market segments. He/she is also responsible for prospecting and closing on assigned accounts/territory to positively impact hotel revenues. Main tasks: Develop working knowledge of hotel operations. Meet or exceed set goals. Initiate and follow up on leads. Monitor production of top accounts. Meet sales solicitation call goals. Create and execute strategic sales plans. Conduct site inspections with clients. Use computerized sales management systems. Develop networking opportunities through participation in community associations. Handle inquiries and conduct research on client room nights performance. Prospect for new transient business.
