Specialist Capacity Planning (with PLEXOS/ PSSE)

We are seeking for Specialist Capacity planning with PLEXOS/ PSSE. This position is for a professional with experience in electricity and water medium term and long-term demand forecasting in an electricity / water utility, and electricity and water production capacity expansion planning. The holder of this position is expected to ensure effective conduct of the following responsibilities.
المسؤوليات
- Analyze electricity and water demand and other factors to generate Medium-term and long-term peak and consumption forecast
- Update / Build new models for demand forecast
- Maintain documentation on processes of demand forecast
- Carry out Power generation and water desalination planning using PLEXOS
- Update and run electricity and water capacity expansion planning models
- Economic analysis of capacity expansion scenarios
- Preparation of presentations and reports
- Monitor accuracy, improve and automate forecast and capacity expansion planning processes
- Contribute to building feasibility studies, site selections and technology selection
- Provide and monitor training and development assignments for relevant Qatari staff Development
المؤهلات
- Minimum bachelor’s degree or higher major Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the power and water utilities industry
- Hands-on experience of demand forecasting, electricity and water capacity expansion planning, and in conducting economic feasibility studies
- Proficient in data analysis and the use of statistical methods
- Expertise in PLEXOS for integrated power and water system simulation, dispatch modelling, and capacity expansion
- Proficient in the English language
