Construction Specialist Dry Utilities (Airfield)

Roles & Responsibilities: Carry out detailed inspections of dry utilities works including duct banks, cable trenches, manholes, handholes, and associated civil works. Verify construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, and method statements. Witness inspections, testing, and approvals in coordination with QA and QC teams and consultants. Monitor installation of power, lighting, communication, and control duct systems supporting airfield and runway operations. Ensure compliance with aviation authority requirements for airfield lighting, navigational aids, and supporting civil infrastructure. Check workmanship, materials, and installation methods to ensure quality, durability, and compliance. Coordinate with civil, pavement, wet utilities, and MEP teams to manage interfaces and prevent clashes. Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve inspection comments and deficiencies. Support alignment between airside systems and associated infrastructure works. Prepare inspection reports, site observations, and non-conformance reports. Maintain inspection logs, checklists, and compliance records. Support preparation of as-built documentation and handover packages. Ensure all inspected works comply with approved HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements. Monitor safe working practices in trenches, excavations, and airside-controlled areas. Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems and airside safety procedures.
