Fire Apparatus Mechanic

Under the general supervision of the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) Supervisor, this position is responsible for the recovery, repair/replace, maintenance and services of Fire Trucks and mini pumper squad trucks, throughout the theater of operations in support of the Contract. This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP.

- Services, diagnoses, and repairs tandem drive axles
- Tunes gas and diesel engines
- Maintains service logs and records of fire truck apparatuses
- Disassembles fire truck accessories and makes repairs
- Brake shoes replacement and heavy duty air brakes service
- Electrical repairs including fuses, batteries, and modules
- Keeps tools and work area organized
المؤهلات
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification Level I
- Three years' experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Valid driver's license
