Responsible for the overall operation of the Land Mobile Radio network; currently ASTRO 25 and WAVES Mass Notification System (MNS). Manage and support the Land Mobile Radio System (LMRS), and act as the primary POC for all user generated support issues. Responsible for requesting, and managing frequency allocations. This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP.

المسؤوليات

  • Manage the daily operations of the LMRS and MNS
  • Supervise Technicians/Engineers working on LMRS and WAVES
  • Check conventional repeater sites
  • Fleet-mapping frequency and channel usage
  • Reprogramming radios and OTAR troubleshooting
  • Provide training for Communication Engineers
  • Identify improvements and recommendations for system upgrades
  • Request and allocate frequencies from USG representative

المؤهلات

  • Valid driver's license (including host nation Heavy Duty license)
  • High School Diploma
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Secret clearance
  • Meets AR 25-2 requirements for NIPRNET access
  • 3-5 years' experience with frequency management and fleet mapping
