Associate Director of Sourcing

This role owns supplier strategy end-to-end—from qualification and negotiation to risk management and cost optimization—while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Leadership role partnering with R&D, Quality, and Regulatory.
المسؤوليات
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for ingredients, packaging, and contract manufacturing
- Build and maintain a strong global supplier network, including qualifications, audits, and ongoing performance management
- Lead supplier negotiations, contracts, and cost optimization initiatives
- Ensure sourcing practices meet or exceed FDA, AAFCO, FSMA, cGMP, and other applicable regulatory standards
- Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams to manage ingredient specifications and traceability
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (availability, pricing volatility, quality)
- Collaborate with R&D and cross functional teams on new ingredient sourcing and innovation
- Mentor and lead a high-performing sourcing team
المؤهلات
- 8–12+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain
- At least 2–3 years in a people leadership role
- Strong knowledge of food-grade ingredient sourcing, supplier qualification, and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to negotiate complex supplier agreements and manage strategic vendor relationships
- Experience with international sourcing and global suppliers
- Experience sourcing ingredients for pet food, animal nutrition, human supplements, food, or nutraceuticals
- Familiarity with sustainability, traceability, and ethical sourcing initiatives
- Experience in creating and managing strategic supplier relationship management (SRM) programs
- Excellent project management and communication skills
