Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Automotive Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative automotive division. This role involves the design, development, and testing of critical mechanical systems for next-generation vehicles. You will work on challenging projects, contributing to the cutting edge of automotive technology. The position requires a blend of creative design thinking and rigorous engineering analysis to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists, will be key to success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD/CAE, a deep understanding of automotive components, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of vehicle engineering. This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a flexible balance between remote work and in-office collaboration in Riffa, Southern, BH.
المسؤوليات
- Design and develop complex mechanical systems and components for automotive applications using advanced CAD software.
- Perform detailed engineering analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to validate designs and ensure performance under various conditions.
- Create and manage detailed design documentation, including 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are producible, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design issues encountered during prototype testing and production.
- Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to engineering best practices.
- Stay current with emerging automotive technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for vehicle performance, safety, and efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure timely delivery of design deliverables.
المؤهلات
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in mechanical design, specifically within the automotive industry.
- Expert proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, NX).
- Strong experience with CAE tools for simulation and analysis (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, components, and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of material science and selection for automotive applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
- Experience with product development lifecycle (PDLC) and APQP principles.
- Familiarity with automotive regulations and safety standards.
