The Derrickhand is primarily responsible for the mud system and associated equipment, but not limited to performing various manual labor tasks throughout the rig site. The role involves monitoring mud pumps and fluid levels while ensuring safety standards are met according to the H&P way.
المسؤوليات
- Monitor the performance of mud pumps and maintain expendable items
- Lock out and tag equipment on mud system during repairs
- Oversee condition and analysis of drilling fluid
- Monitor pit (mud tank) fluid level and transfer fluids
- Direct roughnecks and roustabouts during repairs
- Report any status changes regarding drilling fluid to the driller
- Perform service to overhead equipment in mast +/- 100 feet above ground level
- Perform visual inspection of equipment from rig floor to top of crown section
