Chief Accountant

Role Purpose: To ensure financial excellence and control through the strategic oversight of all accounting operations, including AP, AR, financial reporting, and compliance. This role is pivotal in transforming financial data into actionable business insights, driving cost efficiency, and leading a high-performing accounting team to support the organization's strategic objectives.
المسؤوليات
- Oversee the entire AP and AR functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Implement and maintain robust controls over the cash conversion cycle
- Manage corporate credit card and employee expense reimbursements
- Lead the month-end close process for accruals and AP/AR control accounts
- Manage the prepaid expenses schedule and fixed asset register
- Ensure compliance with IFRS for property, lease, plant, equipment and intangible assets
- Own the general ledger and ensure integrity of all financial transactions
- Manage cash flow forecasting functions
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Coordinate and manage the annual external audit process
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls
- Partner with IT to optimize financial systems (ERP)
- Support the Zakat and Tax team during filing and assessments
المؤهلات
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA, or CMA preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a holding company or diversified business environment
