Billing Administrator

As our Billing Administrator, you’ll be responsible for keeping our billing and insurance systems running smoothly - making sure we get paid accurately, on time, and with minimal friction. You won’t be submitting claims yourself (we work with a billing company for that), but you will be the point person for keeping accounts current, maximizing reimbursements, and managing our financial partnerships with insurers.

- Take ownership of billing systems and processes
- Serve as internal subject matter expert for Optometry-specific medical coding
- Oversee accounts receivable and ensure timely collections
- Manage collections processes with professionalism
- Handle CAQH attestation and ensure provider profiles are current
- Maintain insurance portals and accounts
- Negotiate reimbursements with payers
- Initiate autopay enrollment and reconcile payment data
- Oversee EOBs posted by billing vendor
- Act as liaison between practice and billing company

- Experience with Optometry-specific CPT and ICD-10 coding
