Job purpose: Managing the execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. Coordinating various aspects of the project, including design, procurement, construction, and safety compliance. Key accountability areas: - Project planning & scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules; coordinate with project managers, architects, and designers; adjust schedules as needed. - Resource management: Allocate personnel, materials, and equipment effectively; supervise procurement; minimize costs and delays. - Construction supervision: Oversee day-to-day activities; inspect sites for quality control; manage subcontractors. - Safety management: Enforce safety protocols; conduct audits and training; ensure regulatory compliance. - Cost & budget management: Track expenses; review invoices; identify potential cost overruns. - Collaboration & communication: Serve as primary contact for stakeholders; communicate progress and risks to management. - Problem solving: Resolve delays, technical problems, or resource shortages. Role accountability includes HR proficiency, delivery targets, problem-solving, quality control, business process improvements, and health, safety, and environment (HSE) compliance.
