Nabat is a climate-tech startup based in the UAE using advanced technology to protect and restore natural ecosystems with precision and scale! We operate at the intersection of ecological & environmental sciences, GIS, AI, and robotics. Our mission is to enable data-driven, science-backed ecosystem management and restoration at the speed and scale necessary to address the critical challenges of climate change, deforestation, land erosion, and biodiversity loss. Our comprehensive solution - consisting of ecosystem management software, precision aerial seeding drones, AI & ecological models, and restoration services - is already being used to plant millions of mangroves in the UAE.
Relocation to the UAE is required – generous relocation benefits and visa sponsorship (for the employee and their family) will be provided. We are looking for a Head of Tech to lead our world-class software, data science, GIS, and infra teams at Nabat as we build the premier platform for large-scale ecosystem management, restoration and monitoring.
المسؤوليات
- Own and evolve Nabat’s technology strategy and roadmap
- Lead and scale multi-disciplinary engineering teams across software, data science, GIS, and infrastructure
- Stay technically engaged: reviewing architectures, challenging assumptions, and staying close to implementation
- Ensure our platform excels in scalability, performance, reliability, and security
- Partner closely with product, science, and commercial stakeholders to deliver real-world impact
- Build a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, quality, learning, and delivery
- Mentor and develop senior engineers, tech leads, and managers
المؤهلات
- 10+ years of progressive technical experience
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, managing and scaling culturally diverse, multi-disciplinary engineering teams of 25+ ICs
- 3+ years building successful commercial products or platforms in the geospatial / remote sensing / Earth observation / image analytics domain
- 3+ years building products where AI, ML, and data science are core to the platform
- 3+ years in fast-paced, truly agile startup environments
