Infection Control Practitioner

The Infection Control Practitioner (ICP) is responsible for implementing and overseeing infection control activities across all Diaverum clinics. This role ensures continuous surveillance of clinic and laboratory data to identify and monitor healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and potential outbreaks. The ICP investigates disease outbreaks, maintains records, and ensures compliance with policies and international accreditation standards. The role also involves staff education and training.
المسؤوليات
- Coordinate activities related to Infection Control as directed by Infection Control Specialist.
- Plan and implement Infection Control programs in keeping with established standards (JCI, CBAHI, OSHA, CDC, and MOH).
- Participate in the development of in-service education programs and new employee orientation.
- Review and evaluate all procedures and policies related to Infection Control.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive record system for isolated patients and prevalence of nosocomial infection.
- Investigate significant outbreaks of infection to identify the source and resolution.
- Conduct regular infection control audits to assess compliance.
- Follow up pre-employment health screening, staff/patient serology, and vaccination.
المؤهلات
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Medical Sciences or Public Health, or any related field.
- Must have completed special coursework in epidemiology, infection control or related coursework in the area of expertise.
- A recognized Professional Nursing Licensure from the country of origin.
- A Certificate Board in Infection Control is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years continuous working experience in Nursing preferred in dialysis of which at least 2 Years of recent direct experience in Infection Control in an acute care setting or related facility.
- For Non-nurses: 2 years of recent experience in Infection Control in an acute care setting or related facility.
