Category Analyst

Role: Category Analyst. 5-hour ENERGY is looking for a skilled Category analyst who will be responsible for supporting the Category Management and Sales Teams with analyzing consumer and category data to provide business insights and recommendations to improve sales, operational efficiency, and profitability for 5-hour ENERGY®.

- Performs weekly/monthly reporting and dashboards that enable Sales and Category leadership to quickly understand market trends and opportunities
- Project work will include analytics related to topline reporting, sales reviews, category line reviews, overall business trends, merchandising, assortment, pricing and promotions, and shelving across the omnichannel landscape
- Provide regular sales updates with an assessment of brand, category, and competitive issues/opportunities
- Identify and validate opportunities within a given category, market or division using customer POS, syndicated data, category roles, competitive pricing, frequency reports, elasticity reports, market data, eCommerce data, and other sources
- Assisting with new item processing (images, specs, etc.) with Circana
- Evaluate past performance of trade and marketing activity to optimize ROI and operational efficiency
- Assist in Data Visualization and developing storylines and presentations to effectively communicate category findings both internally and externally
- Collaborate cross functionally with other category management team members, sales, sales operations, marketing, and eCommerce
المؤهلات
- 1 - 3 years of analytical experience in Consumer Products Goods, retail or other related industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Finance, Data Analytics or equivalent experience
- Experience with syndicated data (Circana), customer card/POS data, and their application and knowledge of consumer panel data preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Expert level Excel with experience using tools such as VLOOKUP, Index Match, Advanced conditional formatting, Pivot Tables/charts and reporting, Macros and VBA, and Data simulations
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work within timelines
- Strong attention to detail, quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills
- Solid communication skills to include verbal, presentation, and written capabilities
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
