Remote - Insurance Verification Specialist

The Insurance Verification Specialist 1, under general supervision, provides patients, physicians and internal hospital personnel with insurance benefit information. This position ensures timely verification of insurance benefits and financial clearance which has a direct impact to the organization's reimbursement.
المسؤوليات
- Perform financial clearance of patient accounts
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Complete appropriate payer forms related to notification and authorization
- Coordinate submission of clinical documentation for authorization
- Calculate accurate patient financial responsibility
- Collaborate with physician and facility staff
- Interpret complex payer coverage information
- Document systems according to guidelines
المؤهلات
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Less than 1 year of experience
- Healthcare or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to understand payer guidelines
- Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency
