Data Center Technician

Responsible for effective delivery of hands-on technical support and installations. This will include server hardware and network break-fix tasks, structured cabling installation, rack deployments and decommissioning activities, site planning, problem escalation and performing installations in an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) data center. Prioritize ticketing queues, resolving incidents and escalations, and clear blocking issues to enable continued delivery of hands-on technician activities in accordance with internal policies and service level agreements. Provide 24x7 site coverage for Oracle OCI data center sites.

- Act as Hardware support expert liaison to other technical & non-technical teams.
- Understand internal customer problem and provide hands on technical solution in timely manner.
- Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server and network hardware.
- System board level repair and fault diagnosis within SLAs.
- Structured cabling installation.
- Planning and commissioning new whitespaces and rack positions.
- Rack receiving, installation and decommissioning activities.
- Performing monthly, quarterly and annual compliance audits.
- Adherence to physical security and health & safety policies.
المؤهلات
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
- Hands on experience in IT Infrastructure support, server and network maintenance and structured cabling in a large-scale mission critical environment.
- Hands on experience and adequate understanding of data center infrastructure and facility operations.
- Driving license and ability to reach data center site within 60 mins.
- Ability to work in cramped spaces and elevated locations.
