Director of People
Job Description
Karoo Health is a venture-backed startup transforming cardiovascular care. The Director of People will build the people systems, practices, and culture that enable Karoo to scale quickly. This leader will be responsible for recruiting infrastructure, performance management, manager enablement, compensation frameworks, and employee experience. This is a hands-on, self-directed role for the company’s most senior HR leader.
Responsibilities
- Intentionally shape Karoo’s culture as the company grows
- Build and maintain scalable HR systems and processes
- Oversee recruiting processes across clinical and corporate functions
- Design and implement performance management frameworks
- Partner with leadership on compensation bands and leveling frameworks
Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of HR experience
- Direct experience in digital health or healthcare technology
- Proven track record scaling a startup from Series A to Series B/C
- Knowledge of multi-state employment law
