Job Description
The Director of Education will lead the design and delivery of the Museum’s educational offer, developing programs that connect learners of all ages to the museum’s collections, exhibitions, and ideas. The role requires deep knowledge of the national education system, school curricula, and university networks.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and direct program and engagement strategies
- Develop, manage, and monitor the Education budget
- Establish protocols for development of educational programs
- Oversee the volunteer program
- Collaborate with exhibitions, collections, and marketing departments
- Create online educational content
- Evaluate program effectiveness and analyze data
- Develop relationships with schools and community organizations
- Mentor and develop the Education team
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in museum education
- Knowledge of educational theories and practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Art History, Museum Studies, or Education (Master’s preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Project management and organizational skills
