Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Structure Engineer Designer to join our engineering team in Umm Al Quwain, UAE. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop robust structural concepts.
- Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for steel, concrete, timber, and composite structures.
- Develop 3D models and BIM coordination (e.g., Revit) to support design and clash detection.
- Perform structural analysis and load calculations for axial, bending, shear, and dynamic effects.
- Evaluate material performance, constructability, and cost implications.
- Prepare design reports, technical memos, and design-change documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers during detailing and shop drawing review.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality control requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related field (minimum).
- 3+ years of relevant experience in structural design and analysis, preferably in the UAE or a similar market.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE) and BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Robot, AutoCAD).
- Strong knowledge of national and international codes and standards (e.g., UAE Building Codes, Eurocodes, ACI/ACI 318, AISC).
- Solid understanding of reinforcement detailing, concrete and steel design, and connection detailing.
- UAE residency status or eligibility to work in the UAE is required.
