Lead Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Engineer for our software engineering team to provide technical leadership and ownership across our platform, infrastructure, and DevOps practices. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, responsible for driving technical direction, reliability, security, and scalability across systems. While you will guide and influence engineers, this role does not involve people management, performance reviews, or HR responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Act as technical lead for platform, DevOps, and infrastructure initiatives
- Drive architectural decisions and technical standards
- Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews
- Define and enforce engineering best practices (testing, CI/CD discipline)
- Own CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and deployment workflows
- Manage cloud infrastructure and environment stability
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging
- Oversee infrastructure security including IAM, network security, and firewalls
Qualifications
- Strong experience in a technical lead, senior engineer, platform engineer, or DevOps lead role
- Experience with microservices architecture and/or system migrations
