Sales Engineer
Job Description
The Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting sales opportunities through technical discovery, solution design, demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts (POCs), with a strong focus on VMware technologies. The role acts as a trusted technical advisor during the presales phase while ensuring smooth handover and customer satisfaction post-sale. The position works closely with sales, professional services, and support teams to address customer needs, drive adoption, and maximize ROI.
Responsibilities
- Drive presales activities by delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, and POCs focused on VMware solutions
- Participate in customer-facing technical meetings and solution workshops
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and propose VMware-based architectures
- Act as the primary technical point of contact during the presales phase
- Support post-sale activities including solution handover and deployment guidance
- Deliver customer training sessions and contribute to technical documentation
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners
- Provide technical enablement and mentoring to internal teams and channel partners
- Monitor customer adoption and recommend enhancements or optimizations
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Presales / Sales Engineering role
- Strong VMware presales experience is mandatory
- Based in the Levant region or willing to be based in the Levant
- Fluent in French (spoken and written) – mandatory
