Mission
Profile Key Responsibilities
Has a vocational training in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent and minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferred in electrcial substations / maintenance of railway power supply traction or similar technologies (utility / heavy engineering industry).
Experience in handling large scale projects ideally within Operations and Maintenance is an added advantage.
Main Purpose
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance of power supply equipments in accordance with all relevant regulations, good industry practices and international benchmark.
- Implement accident prevention and restoration measures in work area under supervision of Power Supply Shift Supervisor.
- Analyse and expertise disruptions in power supply equipment under supervision of Power Supply Shift Supervisor
Profile Key Responsibilities
- Execute the maintenance of HT / LT power distribution system including power supply equipments in accordance with the instructions by superior personnel.
- Conduct tasks according to work schedules and periodic (daily, weekly, monthly & yearly) inspection plans to keep system fully serviceable and in a state of good repair with special reference to safety precautions
- Preparation of tools and materials required for maintenance activities. Keep a watch on availability of spare parts and stores required for maintenance of various equipment and initiate timely action to recoup stocks under his area of responsibility.
- Preparation of failure documentation and submitting them to superiors through CMMS.
- Monitoring commissioning, testing and trial operation activities of power supply equipments and reporting of recurring defects & disruptions to Power Supply Shift Supervisor / Engineer.
- Assistance to the Power Supply Shift Supervisor in his tasks.
- Operation of special tools and measuring devices required to perform maintenance and repair tasks; Ensure that special testing instruments, tools and equipment including the breakdown vehicles, provided for maintenance are properly cared for and maintained in proper condition.
- Repair of power supply assets in conformity with the applicable technical documentation.
- Carry out detailed inspection of third rail to cover the entire section.
