Software Engineer - Python - Container Images
Job Description
Canonical is building a new generation of Ubuntu-based container images to simplify open-source application deployment. In this role, you will build and maintain an ever-growing portfolio of container images while implementing and maintaining CI/CD automation. You will contribute to products like Rocks (OCI images), work with Python- and Go-based building tools, and engage with the open-source community as a subject-matter expert. Seniority is based on software development background and leadership ability.
Responsibilities
- Build robust, scalable, leading-edge container images
- Work on automated CI/CD processes for building, testing, and publishing
- Write tools and tests for assessing security compliance
- Participate in code and architectural review

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM or a similar degree
- Experience building container images
- Track record of delivering timely, high-quality software
