Senior Project Engineer (Drilling Fluids) (Oil & Gas)
Job Description
Petrochem Performance Chemicals is hiring a Senior Project Engineer for Drilling Fluids in Erbil. The role involves planning, designing, and managing fluid systems for complex wells, ensuring technical optimization and cost-effective operations in the oil and gas sector.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize WBM, OBM, and SBM systems
- Execute drilling fluids programs including hole cleaning and ECD
- Monitor real-time fluid performance and troubleshoot issues
- Supervise field implementation and mud engineer crews
- Manage drilling fluids scope budget and schedule
- Optimize chemical selection and logistics
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and waste management
- Enforce QA/QC on mud products and reporting
Qualifications
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
- 10+ years experience in drilling fluids / mud engineering
