Data Center Network Engineer
Job Description
Working across the globe, V2X builds smart solutions designed to integrate physical and digital infrastructure from base to battlefield. Data Center Network Engineers support the Enterprise-class infrastructure of the RCC-SWA. Engineers provide optimization, administration, and technical documentation of all enterprise infrastructure systems. Additionally, engineers resolve and appropriately complete assigned cases and change requests while acting as an escalation point for troubleshooting issues. The core infrastructure technology duties include an in-depth understanding of Cisco’s Nexus switching, ASR routing, UCS compute platforms, and lifecycle management planning. Program: OMDAC-SWACA. This position offers company-paid housing and transportation, a completion bonus and tuition reimbursement program.
Responsibilities
- Produce enterprise-level support for large-scale networking infrastructure
- Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center environment
- Monitor availability and reliability using DX NetOps Spectrum and SolarWinds
- Execute engineering best practices adhering to DISA STIGs
- Perform regular system maintenance for IAVA vulnerabilities
- Create and maintain detailed network diagrams
Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- IAT Level III Baseline certification
- Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification
- At least 10 years of practical experience working with network and systems technologies
