Strategic Communications Specialist

Job Description

Gritter Francona is looking for a Strategic Communications Specialist to support the Office of Clinical Informatics within the Office of Health Informatics (OHI), Digital Health Office (DHO). This role leads the development and execution of organizational communications strategies tailored to internal, external, technical, and non-technical audiences. Key Responsibilities: - Lead development and execution of organizational communications strategies. - Serve as the primary communications advisor to senior leaders. - Oversee the creation and editing of Associated Press-style narrative and multimedia communications. - Lead and mentor a high-performing communications team. - Manage contract communications resources.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of organizational communications strategies
  • Apply change leadership principles to support organizational transformation
  • Serve as the primary communications advisor to senior leaders
  • Oversee the creation, editing, and final approval of AP-style communications products
  • Direct the development of key messages, speeches, and talking points
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing communications team
  • Oversee the design and delivery of digital, print, and multimedia products
  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Translate complex scientific and technical concepts into plain language

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 10+ years of professional experience in communications
  • At least 8 years of experience managing organizational communications functions
