Assistant Purchasing Manager
Job Description
Responsible for following established procedures in ordering, receiving, storing, distributing and payment of items. Assists in formulating an approved vendors list encompassing all categories. Assists the Executive Chef in all aspects of purchasing to ensure quality and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Generate accurate and timely reports and presentations
- Order all food and beverage based on business needs
- Assist in maintaining/lowering budgeted food costs
- Enforce first in/first out inventory rotation
- Ensure proper safeguards for storeroom assets
- Check invoice on goods received against shipment for quantity and quality
- Maintain inventory controls for proper levels, rotation, and requisitions
- Complete period end inventory according to SOPs
- Ensure accurate administration of all invoices and bookkeeping procedures
Qualifications
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major
