Job Description

The Bar & Lounge Manager is responsible for daily shift operations and supervision of staff. This position assists with promoting the lounge, menu planning, maintains standards, assists servers on the floor during peak periods, and manages property liquor inventories and controls. The goal is to ensure guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget and enforcing all legal obligations professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Implement beverage policy and procedures
  • Manage compliance with local and federal beverage and liquor laws
  • Understand beverage control including inventory, bar pars, and cost controls
  • Monitor adherence to all liquor control policies
  • Assist in financial management including budgets and operating statements
  • Manage inventories according to budget and business levels
  • Train staff on liquor control policies
  • Supervise staffing levels for guest service and financial objectives
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback
  • Participate in the development of corrective action plans

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area; OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years experience.
