Job Description
GAC is looking for the right person to join our team in Amman as a Shipping Officer. The role involves handling agency appointments, operational and commercial matters for vessels calling at Aqaba port.
Responsibilities
- Handle agency appointments, operational and commercial matters for all types of vessels
- Coordinate with Aqaba port authorities on operations and documentation
- Follow up with customers, principals and related parties
- Handle the provision of bunker fuel supplies for vessels
- Handle Ro-Ro export operations including space booking and issuing Bills of Lading
- Calculate proforma disbursement accounts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Business
- Excellent English language and very good Arabic
- 0-1 years of experience in the field
