Area Manager - Ground Operations
Job Description
The Area Manager leads and oversees airport operations across assigned regions to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant ground handling activities. Through effective stakeholder management, data-driven performance monitoring, and cross-functional coordination, the Area Manager ensures operational consistency, revenue protection, and service excellence across all stations.
Responsibilities
- Support developing and implementation of regional strategies
- Liaise with stakeholders to establish airport services procedures
- Conduct feasibility studies and prepare operating budgets
- Lead start-up and operational readiness of new hubs/stations
- Build relationships with airports and Civil Aviation Authorities
- Conduct field visits, audits, and performance reviews
- Partner with HR to define objectives and KPIs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Ground Operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
