Assistant Manager, Warehouse
Job Description
As an Assistant Manager, you will be at the heart of our fulfillment engine. You will focus on four key areas: safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity. You and your team of warehouse associates are responsible for getting B2B orders processed. You are responsible for ensuring that you have properly trained people and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs.
Responsibilities
- Review work forecasts and determine daily productivity requirements to meet building objectives.
- Partner with other Assistant Managers to balance labor, ensuring an efficient shift while meeting all throughput goals.
- Support all safety programs and compliance standards.
- Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools.
- Monitor real-time metrics to ensure the 15-minute delivery promise is met consistently.
- Supervise and train warehouse associates.
- Manage employee performance in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Direct management experience for employees and their performance.
- Flexibility to work weekends and/or overnight shifts regularly.
- 4+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or Lean techniques (Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.) preferred.
