Lead Consultant - Presales
Job Description
The Lead Consultant - Pre-Sales is responsible for strategizing and coordinating with the sales team and other departments on all technical and business-critical issues. S/He serves as the technical and strategic authority, building strong relationships with vendors, partners and customers while driving the business through multiple initiatives and overseeing the Pre-Sales Consulting team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and mentor the Pre-Sales Consulting team
- Act as the subject matter expert in solution design for the assigned portfolio
- Develop and implement specific accounts, product and sales strategies
- Lead in the qualification of opportunities and provide technical guidance
- Manage proof of concepts (POC) and request for proposals (RFP)
- Facilitate technical sales calls and customer meetings at an executive level
- Lead the sales bid process, including preparation and review of RFIs, RFPs and RFQs
- Drive vendor relations and negotiate for solutions
- Manage team performance metrics and KPIs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any other related field
- At least 4 to 5 years of relevant experience including management experience
- Must be experienced in Dell Solution Portfolio (Storage/Backup Solutions/ Hyper Conversion etc.)
