Overhead Power Line Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an Overhead Power Line Specialist to join the Technical Services Division under Power Systems Projects & Technical Support Department. Your primary role is to provide specialized technical support in regards to designs, standards, commissioning, maintenance, operation, investigation in order to ensure safe and reliable Power Supply.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise related to overhead power line design, construction, and operation
- Perform reviews and validations of overhead line designs
- Assess designs for compliance with company standards and national regulations
- Provide technical guidance to operations teams on maintenance planning
- Perform root cause analysis of overhead line failures
- Apply technical acumen to support condition assessment and lifecycle management
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in design, engineering, and lifecycle management of distribution and transmission systems
- Professional Engineer certification such as chartership or PE is preferred
