DEPUTY HEAD OF SECONDARY
Job Description
A key member of the School Leadership Team, you will provide direction, inspiration and guidance to our Secondary teaching staff. Together with the Head of Secondary, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school. You will have particular responsibility for the Secondary School curriculum and play a key role in ensuring the quality of teaching & learning across the school.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction, inspiration and guidance to Secondary teaching staff
- Manage day-to-day operations of the school with the Head of Secondary
- Oversee Secondary School curriculum and quality of teaching & learning
- Ensure academic progress and attainment through coordination with Department Heads and SEN Director
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and pastoral care
- Work with the Principal to develop school mission, vision, and strategic direction
Qualifications
- Qualified teacher with extensive experience of both hands-on teaching and management in education
- Experience at middle leadership level is essential; previous experience at senior leadership level is preferred
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree and a teaching qualification from a face-to-face course
