Job Description
TekSystems is hiring for a Medical Coder to work on Emergency Services cases. You will review cases to determine the correct code and payment recommendation by MCMC, comparing provider and payer submissions.
Responsibilities
- Review provider and payer codes for payment
- Make determinations of recommended code and payment
- Push cases through to QA for review
- Maintain awareness of HIPAA
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of medical coding experience preferably outpatient
- MUST have an ACTIVE CPC License
- Experience or exposure to inpatient coding, emergency services coding or DRG Coding
