Instructor, Preparatory Program
Job Description
Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University is inviting applications for the position of Instructor for its Preparatory Program. Faculty in the program must understand and implement skills-based, student-centered, communicative, and interactive methodology. All faculty members are expected to participate in continuous professional development training.
Responsibilities
- Implement skills-based, student-centered, communicative, and interactive classroom management.
- Deliver 22 contact hours per week of direct instruction in English and Study Skills.
- Maintain 5 office hours per week for student consultation.
- Conduct grading, class preparation, and department-related work such as assessment creation.
- Proctor university exams and invigilate as needed.
- Participate in department and university committees.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and provide student feedback.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in EFL/ESL/TESOL/TEFL is required.
- Demonstrable native proficiency in English.
- At least 2 years of experience in teaching ESL/EFL at the university level.
- Knowledge of standardized exams such as IELTS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in using Blackboard Learning Management System and Banner student information system.
