Senior Accountant
Job Description
This is an outsourced position for a Canadian client, working remotely from Egypt in alignment with Canadian time zones. You will oversee general ledger operations, lead closing processes, and provide insightful reporting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee general ledger accounting
- Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare financial reports and strategic analysis
- Supervise and mentor junior accountants
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and internal controls
- Coordinate with external auditors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- CMA or equivalent certification preferred
- Fluent English communication skills
