Job Description
Operates and monitors a hybrid power generation facility consisting of photovoltaic (PV) arrays, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and internal combustion engine (ICE) generators. Ensures the safe and efficient operation of all systems, performs routine checks, and assists with basic maintenance and troubleshooting to maintain stable and reliable power output.
Responsibilities
- Comply with safety rules and regulations.
- Follow the instructions of the Shift Supervisor/Shift Engineer and Senior O&M Operator.
- Coordinate with the Shift Supervisor/Shift Engineer and with other Operators.
- Monitor all parameters and enter periodic readings on log sheets.
- Summarize all activities/events that took place during shift in the logbook.
- Inspect the area and auxiliaries during the shift.
- Report abnormalities to the Senior O&M Operator and Shift Supervisor/Shift Engineer.
- Perform equipment changeover according to preset schedules.
- Raise work requests or defect notes for faulty equipment.
- Perform electrical switching for low, medium voltages.
- Assist in the training and familiarization of new local desalination operators.
- Ensure proper waste disposal measures.
