Material Controller - Expression of Interest - Short Term
Job Description
The Material Controller is responsible for managing, tracking, and coordinating all materials, equipment, and spare parts required for construction and commissioning activities on an oil and gas facility in Basra, Iraq. This includes receiving, inspection, warehousing, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Manage all incoming materials including receiving, offloading, inspection, and storage
- Maintain accurate inventory records for construction materials
- Verify Material Receiving Reports (MRR) and packing lists
- Ensure proper storage conditions for electrical, mechanical, and piping materials
- Issue materials to construction teams based on MTOs
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly material availability reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field
- 10-12+ years experience in material control within oil & gas construction
- Knowledge of inventory management systems (SAP, Oracle, SPM)
