Job Description
A holding company is seeking an experienced and strategic Group Legal Director to oversee our legal affairs at a corporate level. The Group Legal Director will lead the legal department, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while providing sound legal advice to senior management and the board of directors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the legal strategy and operations for the organization
- Provide legal guidance on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues
- Draft, negotiate, and review significant contracts and corporate documents
- Manage the company's litigation and dispute resolution strategies
- Align legal services with the organization's objectives
- Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives
- Monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations
- Train and mentor the legal team
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- 15+ years of experience in a corporate legal role, with a proven track record in leadership
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
- Substantial experience in contract negotiation and drafting
- Expertise in managing complex legal issues and disputes
