Stewarding Supervisor
Job Description
The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for supervising the stewarding team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all kitchen and back-of-house areas. This role supports smooth kitchen operations by maintaining equipment, enforcing hygiene standards, and ensuring compliance with IHG brand standards, local regulations, and hotel policies. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY: Supervise daily stewarding operations, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of kitchens, stores, back-of-house areas, and F&B outlets Ensure proper use, cleaning, storage, and maintenance of kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery, and glassware Monitor dishwashing and waste management processes Enforce food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards Conduct daily briefings and allocate duties Maintain par stock levels of cleaning supplies Identify maintenance issues and coordinate with Engineering Train and coach stewarding colleagues WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in stewarding operations, preferably in a 4 or 5-star hotel Previous supervisory experience is an advantage Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards Ability to manage teams in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and communication skills Basic English communication skills.
