Job Description
The Vice President, Delivery Operations is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of service delivery for clients. This executive role is fully accountable for delivery outcomes, team performance, and operational excellence across the organization. The focus is exclusively on delivery execution and operational rigor.
Responsibilities
- Own accountability for all delivery outcomes
- Serve as the primary escalation point for delivery challenges, risks, and resourcing concerns
- Oversee the adoption of delivery frameworks
- Lead formal project review and audit processes
- Exercise cross-functional authority over delivery disciplines
- Establish governance standards that protect client satisfaction and profitability
- Partner with Client Partners and Sales to scope engagements realistically
- Monitor delivery capacity and utilization
- Mentor delivery leaders and promote a culture of transparency
Qualifications
- 12+ years in IT professional services delivery
- 7+ years in executive or senior leadership roles with P&L accountability
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field
- Active certification through PMI (PMP required)
- Proven history in customer-facing, professional services leadership roles
- Demonstrated ability to implement governance frameworks, delivery metrics, and QA practices
