Job Description

Responsible for handling Purchase Orders to ensure copies of all approved and valid orders are at hand. Ensures all items are physically received, inspected and weighed as necessary. Consults with concerned departments for technical items to confirm quality and specifications. Acknowledges supplier invoices and ensures they are dated and quote authorization numbers. Prepares receiving reports and summaries for F&B Cost Control and Accounts Payable.

Responsibilities

  • Physically receive, inspect, and weigh items against Purchase Orders
  • Consult departments to confirm quality for technical items and equipment
  • Stamp and acknowledge supplier invoices
  • Ensure items arriving without authorization are not received
  • Prepare receiving reports and summaries for F&B Cost Control and Accounts Payable
  • Coordinate with Materials Department to resolve delivery disputes
  • Check and authorize items being sent out of the hotel as per policy
  • Report equipment failures to the Maintenance Department

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Fluency in English
