Program Coordination and Management -Scaling for Impact
Job Description
CGIAR is embarking on an ambitious transformation through its 2025-2030 Portfolio. The new Portfolio architecture comprises eight integrated Science Programs, a Scaling for Impact Program, and three Accelerators. This consultancy role is central to the PMU, designed to ensure seamless operations, robust governance, and strategic alignment.
Responsibilities
- Act as a principal advisor to the Program Director on managerial strategy and risk management
- Prepare and coordinate materials for senior governance bodies
- Facilitate strategic decision-making processes
- Support the annual cycle of planning and co-development of PoWB
- Develop and maintain detailed operational workplans
- Establish and manage performance dashboards
- Work closely with Finance Focal Point to monitor program budget
- Serve as central liaison for partnership and grant agreement facilitation
- Own the end-to-end process for major donor and institutional reports
- Map all bilateral and Window 3 projects contributing to the Program
- Establish and curate knowledge management platforms
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Business Administration, International Development, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in program coordination and strategic planning
- Proven track record in project management within large international research organizations
- Direct experience with the full project cycle: planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring
- Substantial experience facilitating high-level meetings and managing senior stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrated experience in financial oversight
- Familiarity with partnership management and grant/contract administration
- Exceptional Organizational & Analytical Skills
- Superior communication skills in English
- High proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint)
