General Operator
Job Description
Join Ecolab’s industry leading Nalco Water team as an Operator with one of our reputable Steel customers. You will provide daily water analysis and services to execute agreed upon customer system assurance and continuous improvement plans. You will monitor chemical dosing systems and dosing levels, trouble-shoot any issues, and support in problem solving by performing system analysis.
Responsibilities
- Support the Site Engineer/ Supervisor in maintaining relationships at site/operational level
- Provide daily water analysis and services
- Communicate daily analysis results and address non-conformances
- Monitor and manage chemical inventories onsite
- Monitor chemical dosing systems to ensure dosages as per target
- Manage monthly coupon extractions/ replacements for corrosion monitoring
- Assist Site Engineer with plant surveys
- Conduct start-ups of Nalco treatment applications after outages
- Provide technical support to identify and resolve customer challenges
- Support in problem solving by performing system analysis
- Actively support Nalco innovations and technology
- Maintain programs KPIs and Business Process documentation
Qualifications
- Technical degree in Science or Engineering preferred
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude
- Fluency in English
- Major plus would be having >2yrs experience in water treatment, especially in Reverse Osmosis systems
