Job Description
Six Construct, a subsidiary of the BESIX Group, is the largest Belgian construction company operating in the Middle East. Support senior and plant management in implementing company, regulatory, and client HSE requirements and annual objectives. Lead the plant HSE team and ensure process safety controls are applied to prevent incidents.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute annual HSE objectives, KPIs, and action plans
- Serve as a strategic advisor, coaching line management to ensure HSE ownership
- Develop, maintain, and act as custodian of the HSEMS and Environmental Management System
- Oversee all documentation, procedures, SOPs, and audits
- Ensure compliance with STP‑specific regulatory frameworks
- Lead the plant HSE team
- Oversee PTW, LOTO, and energy isolation controls
- Lead risk assessments for all O&M operations
- Develop, maintain, and test a comprehensive Emergency Response Plan
- Lead incident investigations
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management
- Proven experience in O&M, utilities, process plants, or industrial operations
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- NEBOSH International Diploma or equivalent
- ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor certification
- OSHA training/certification
- IOSH Certified Member
