Job Description
The Statistics (STAT) program at KAUST invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (exceptional candidates at the Associate Professor level may be considered). We welcome applications in all areas of statistics and data science, including statistical methodology for AI and Machine Learning as well as industrial statistics. Candidates with research profiles aligning with Saudi Arabia’s national priorities (Health, Sustainability, Energy, Future Economies) will be given priority.
Responsibilities
- Teach relevant courses at the graduate level
- Build and lead a research group of postdoctoral fellows and graduate students
- Conduct curiosity-driven and goal-oriented research
- Address pressing scientific and technological challenges
Qualifications
- Earned PhD in Statistics or a related field
- Strong publication record in top-tier journals
- Exceptional research potential
- Ability to attract external research funding
- Strong dedication to teaching
