Job Description
Our client is seeking a Lead Chemical Process Development Engineer to join their team in Sanad. This role is central to developing and refining chemical processes from laboratory scale to pilot and commercial production. You will lead a team of engineers and scientists in optimizing yield, purity, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and optimization of new and existing chemical processes.
- Design and execute experiments to identify optimal conditions.
- Perform process scale-up studies.
- Utilize process simulation and modeling tools.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and QA for technology transfer.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians.
- Maintain detailed process documentation and P&IDs.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in chemical process development and scale-up.
- Extensive knowledge of reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and mass transfer.
- Proven experience with simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
