Financial Controller ( Located in Liberia )
Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead site-level financial control and reporting for our Liberian operations and provide high-quality inputs to group consolidation. The role owns the monthly close, internal controls, and compliance across US GAAP and IFRS.
Responsibilities
- Drive monthly/quarterly/year-end close; produce accurate TBs and reconciliations
- Review and sign off trial balances for all group entities
- Oversee the quality of postings from accounting and finance teams
- Interpret and apply US GAAP and IFRS; draft technical memos
- Govern intercompany pricing/confirmations and eliminations support
- Ensure correct capture of P2P flows and fixed-asset lifecycle
- Coordinate preparation of statutory/tax returns
- Provide Budget vs Actual (BvA) analysis and variance bridges
- Operate an ICS/SOX-like framework and remediate findings
- Engage Site Finance, Procurement, and auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years in financial control/audit/accounting within multinational environments
- Demonstrated mastery of US GAAP and IFRS
- Full ownership of month-end close, TB/reconciliations, intercompany, inventory & fixed assets
- Strong ERP experience (SAP / Microsoft Dynamics / Oracle) and advanced Excel
- Excellent English (written & spoken)
- Ability to work in a rotation-based, site environment (66 days on site / 18 days off)
